ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Oct, 2025) At least 16 people, including four women and a child, were injured when a multi-storey plaza collapsed in Karak’s main bazaar on Saturday.
According to a private news channel, rescue officials said that the incident occurred suddenly, trapping several people under the debris.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the site immediately and launched a full-scale operation to retrieve those buried.
After several hours of effort, all 16 injured individuals were successfully rescued from the rubble and shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Rescue officials said the operation had been completed successfully, and the cause of the collapse is being investigated.
Authorities have cordoned off the area to prevent further incidents, while initial reports suggest that structural weaknesses in the building may have contributed to the tragedy.
