24 transgenders hospitalized after consuming poison in protest

In a shocking incident from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, around two dozen transgender individuals attempted suicide by consuming poison in protest against alleged police beavhour.

According to Indian media reports, a viral video shows approximately 24 members of the transgender community drinking a toxic cleaning chemical, reportedly phenyl, after authorities failed to take action against two men accused of sexually assaulting a transgender person.

All those who consumed the poison were rushed to a local hospital, where their condition is said to be stable.

Police officials stated that efforts are underway to locate and arrest the suspects. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked outrage across India, with transgender rights groups demanding justice for the victims and accountability from the authorities.
