The pilot of United flight 512 from Houston was told of “an unconfirmed bomb report” on the plane, a recording obtained by WRC-TV reveals.

In the clip, the pilot was told by air traffic control: “I’m sorry to have to do this to you. We’ve got to turn you again, sir.

“We have an unconfirmed bomb report for your flight. We’ve got to get you away from the airport. Make a 180, taxi ‘Mike’ and hold short Runway 1.”

The controller could then be heard saying “I’m sorry, guys,” and the pilot responding: “No worries”.
