Horror as truck ploughs into crowds at busy market

Two people have been killed and at least 18 others have been injured after a truck ploughed into crowds at a busy outdoor market. Emergency services were scrambled to South Korea’s Bucheon city, in the Seoul metropolitan area, on Thursday, as the horror crash unfolded. 

The truck driver, reportedly a man in his 60s, is being questioned by police, a Bucheon police official said. Initial reports from Park Geum-cheon, an official at Bucheon’s fire station, suggest the truck initially reversed before driving forward for nearly 500 feet, hitting pedestrians.
