US fast bowler Ali Khan announced the visa denial on social media, tagging fellow cricketer Shayan Jahangir. Along with them, Ehsan Adil and Mohammed Mohsin were also denied entry to India.

The T20 World Cup is set to begin on February 7 in India, with the U.S. team placed in a group alongside Pakistan, India, Namibia, and the Netherlands.

The United States will play its opening match against India on February 7.
