National polio campaign scheduled from February 2 to 8

The government has announced that the first polio campaign of 2026 will be held from February 2 to 8 in 159 districts across the country.

According to the National EOC, over 45 million children will be given polio drops during this week-long campaign. More than 400,000 male and female polio workers will carry out the immunization drive. Parents are urged to open their doors for polio workers and ensure their children receive the polio drops.

Authorities also reminded parents to complete the full routine vaccination schedule for all children up to 15 months of age.
