PM Shehbaz visits Qatar; Amir accepts invitation to visit Pakistan, FO

Emir has accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan, highlighting ongoing high-level engagement between the two countries.

Islamabad: Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi announced during a media briefing that the Prime Minister paid an official visit to Qatar at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

According to the spokesperson, the Emir has accepted an invitation to undertake a visit to Pakistan, signaling continued high-level engagement between the two countries.

During the visit, the Prime Minister held detailed discussions with the Emir, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties across multiple sectors, including economic collaboration and regional coordination.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit. The spokesperson noted that defense cooperation was also discussed as part of the broader bilateral agenda.

Separately, Ishaq Dar has departed for Saudi Arabia to participate in the Executive Committee meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He is expected to present Pakistan’s stance regarding Israel’s move to convert parts of the West Bank into state land.

The Foreign Office emphasized that Israel’s actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability, reiterating Pakistan’s longstanding position on the issue.
