Gold prices skyrocket across global and Pakistani markets

The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs13, 300, settling at Rs563, 862.

KARACHI: Gold and silver prices recorded another significant increase on Monday in both international and domestic markets, continuing the upward trend seen at the end of last week.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $133 per ounce, reaching $5,411 per ounce.

Following the global surge, local bullion markets also witnessed a sharp rise at the start of the business week. The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs13, 300, settling at Rs563, 862.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs11, 402, reaching Rs483, 420.

Silver prices also followed the upward momentum. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs188, reaching Rs10, 050, while the rate of 10 grams of silver went up by Rs161, settling at Rs8, 616.

It is worth noting that gold and silver prices had already posted gains on the last trading day of the previous business week, indicating sustained bullish sentiment in the precious metals market.
