Gold prices plunge again across Pakistan

According to the association, the price of gold per tola has decreased by Rs10, 000, bringing the new rate down to Rs539, 962.

KARACHI: All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association has reported another significant decline in gold prices across the country, marking the second consecutive day of sharp reductions.

According to the association, the price of gold per tola has decreased by Rs10, 000, bringing the new rate down to Rs539, 962.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has fallen by Rs8, 573, settling at Rs462, 930.

The association noted that this follows a massive Rs13, 900 drop in the per tola rate recorded just a day earlier, reflecting continued volatility in the bullion market.

Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices declined by $100 per ounce, reaching $5,172 per ounce.

Market analysts attribute the downward trend to fluctuations in global bullion rates and currency movements, which continue to impact domestic prices.

Meanwhile, All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association reported an upward trend in silver prices in both domestic and global markets.

In the local bullion market, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs100, reaching Rs9,004.

Meanwhile, in the international market, silver prices also witnessed a gain of $1 per ounce, climbing to $85.20 per ounce.

The increase in silver rates comes amid ongoing fluctuations in global precious metals markets, which continue to influence domestic pricing trends.
