DUBAI: Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan and mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed have moved closer to securing the top position in the latest T20 International rankings.
According to the updated rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Farhan has climbed one place to claim the second spot among T20I batters.
Meanwhile, Saim Ayub and Babar Azam have each slipped one position, dropping to 35th and 37th respectively.
In the bowling rankings, Abrar Ahmed has surged two places to reach third position. Mohammad Nawaz has retained his 12th spot, while Salman Mirza has fallen three places to 21st.
The latest ICC update reflects a strong upward trend for Pakistan’s emerging performers in the shortest format of the game.
