PM approves Nihal Hashmi for Sindh governor, summary sent to President

The meeting was attended by Rana Sanaullah, Ishaq Dar and other leaders.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to appoint senior PML-N leader Nihal Hashmi as the new governor of Sindh and has forwarded a summary to the president for approval.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the summary regarding the appointment has been sent to President Asif Ali Zardari for approval.

The statement further said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met Nihal Hashmi and felicitated him on his expected appointment as governor of Sindh. The meeting was attended by Rana Sanaullah, Ishaq Dar and other leaders.

It is noteworthy that the current Governor of Sindh is Kamran Khan Tessori, who belongs to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement  Pakistan.
