Trump stated that this is the final opportunity for Iran.
According to CNN, if the ongoing talks are successful, US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian may visit Islamabad, where they could also sign an agreement.
Earlier, when asked by a journalist about visiting Pakistan, Donald Trump said they would see in the coming days how the situation develops, and a decision on the possible visit would be made later. He added that any visit to Pakistan depends on the progress of the negotiations.
Speaking to ABC News, Trump said that Vice President J. D. Vance will not travel to Pakistan for the Iran-US talks and will not lead the delegation due to other important commitments.
Trump further stated that this is the final opportunity for Iran to reach a peace agreement, adding that he would not repeat what he described as mistakes made by former President Barack Obama.
