Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved Punjab’s first sky glass bridge project in Kotli Sattian, Murree district, as part of a broader plan to expand tourism infrastructure in the region.
The approval was given during a meeting co-chaired by Nawaz Sharif and the chief minister, where they reviewed progress on the Murree Protection and Rehabilitation Plan.
During the meeting, it was also decided to set up three hospitality zones in Shawala, Sozo, and Brewery areas of Murree. These zones will include five-star standard hotels developed in partnership with the private sector.
Officials shared that Murree’s first glamping pod village will be built at Chewra Hill as a new attraction for tourists, and its operations will be handled by the private sector. A paragliding club in Chewra was also approved, while progress on projects like the Kotli Sattian chairlift, Punjab House, and Forest Rest House was reviewed.
