Rene Nezhoda paid tribute to him, saying it was an honor to work with him for many years.
Actor Darrell Sheets, famous for his appearance in the TV show Storage Wars, has died at the age of 67, according to reports citing the Lake Havasu City Police Department.
Police said officers were called to a home in Arizona at around 2:00 am local time on 22 April. When they arrived, they found a man later identified as Sheets.
In a statement quoted by media outlet Variety, police said Sheets appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Sheets was widely known for his role in Storage Wars, a reality show where participants bid on storage units without knowing what is inside them.
His co-star Rene Nezhoda paid tribute to him, saying it was an honour to work with him for many years. He said that although they often appeared as rivals on the show, they were actually friends who stayed in touch.
Nezhoda also praised Sheets for his strong work ethic and said he deeply cared about his family.
Known by the nickname “The Gambler,” Sheets was part of Storage Wars from 2010 to 2023 and frequently appeared on the show with his son Brandon.
