The Chairman of the All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA), Mr. Arshad Khurshid, along with the nominated Honorary Coordinator for FTO, Mr. Qamar ul Islam, and the Executive Committee of APCAA, organized an impressive and gracefully conducted ceremony to launch the book “Mohtasib Ki Diary”, authored by the Federal Tax Ombudsman, Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah (Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz). The event was held on 22nd October 2025 at DGTR Auditorium, Custom House, Karachi.
The ceremony was graced by a distinguished gathering, including Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah (Federal Tax Ombudsman of Pakistan), Mr. Wajid Ali (Chief Collector), Mr. Asif Sakhi (Vice President, FPCCI), Mr. Khurram Ejaz (Former Vice President, FPCCI), Mr. Waqas Anjum Sheikh (General Secretary, KCAA), Mr. Muhammad Sadiq (Chief Collector, Exports), Mr. Mohsin Rafiq (DG Afghan Trade), Mr. Khosa (DG DGTR), Mr. Nayyer Shafi (Collector, SAPT), Ms. Mona (Collector, West), Dr. Fayyaz Ahmad Ranjha (Advisor, FTO), Mr. Almas Ali Jovindah (Advisor Legal), Mr. Nazim Saleem (Advisor Sales Tax), Mr. Badruddin Ahmed Qureshi (Advisor In-Charge, Regional Office Karachi), Mr. Gul Rehman (Advisor Customs, Regional Office Karachi), Mr. Muhammad Masood Ahmed (Advisor In-Charge, Abbottabad), Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed (Advisor), and Mr. Abid Mehmood (Director Admin, Regional Office Karachi).
A large number of APCAA members, along with representatives from the trade and business community, also attended the event, adding further significance and grace to the occasion.
All speakers paid glowing tributes to Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah, lauding his excellence as the Federal Tax Ombudsman of Pakistan and his remarkable contributions to humanitarian causes. They praised his integrity, compassion, and relentless efforts to uphold justice and serve the people with sincerity and dedication.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah expressed heartfelt appreciation to all participants and extended his gratitude to APCAA for organizing such a dignified, successful, and memorable ceremony that reflected the spirit of unity, professionalism, and respect.
