Donald Trump came out guns a-blazing against a reporter who dared to interrupt one of his impromptu media briefings, giving the journalist a stinging four-word response. The Commander-in-Chief was addressing journalists before boarding Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday.
Trump had spent the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, where he delighted a couple getting married by making a surprise appearance. However, the joviality soon ended when a journalist from the press agency Bloomberg attempted to interject as the president spoke to the media on Sunday.
A video captured the moment when off-camera a female reporter was heard asking an inaudible question just as Trump paused as he spoke about American political commentator and journalist, Tucker Carlson.
Rounding on the journalist as she tried to ask a question, Trump rages: “Will let me finish… you are the worst, you’re with Bloomberg, right?
“You are the worst. I don’t know why they even have you.”
The blistering attack was shared by the White House Rapid Response 47 account on X, which regularly posts complimentary videos showing Trump and his administration in action.
During his briefing on Sunday before taking his flight, Trump also hinted that he plans to meet with New York City’s mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and said they’ll “work something out”.
Trump has for months slammed Mamdani, falsely labelling him as a “communist” and predicting the ruin of his hometown, New York, if the democratic socialist were elected.
He also threatened to deport Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and became a naturalised American citizen, and to pull federal money from the city.
