High-level U.S. delegation lands in Islamabad for peace talks

United States delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance.

Islamabad: A high-level United States delegation reportedly arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, led by Vice President JD Vance, for a series of strategic discussions aimed at advancing regional peace efforts.

According to the sources, the delegation also includes senior U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are expected to play key roles in ongoing negotiations concerning a proposed 15-point peace framework involving regional stakeholders, including Iran.

Upon arrival, the American delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Security in and around the federal capital has been significantly tightened in anticipation of the high-profile diplomatic engagement.
