Iran tells Pakistan it’s “winning” and holds thousands of missiles and drones

Iran says it believed it was winning and that it retained 15,000 missiles and 45,000 drones in its arsenal.

Even before Iran cut off direct diplomacy with the US, it was sticking to a hard-line position in negotiations and showed no signs of backing down.

Tehran told Pakistan, which is mediating talks, that it believed it was winning and that it retained 15,000 missiles and 45,000 drones in its arsenal, according to mediators and a person familiar with the matter.

Mediators noted that while Iran’s claimed arsenal numbers were probably inflated, they highlighted the country’s firm stance in negotiations.

Meanwhile, the US and Israel continue to carry out strikes on Iran as President Trump’s ultimatum deadline approaches. Iran has warned that it may respond with major attacks on Gulf nations as well as Israel’s power and energy infrastructure, according to both mediators and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard.
