Major region hit by ‘deadly’ floods as emergency sparks evacuations

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued flood warnings across Washington, in place until Friday.

Northwest and west central Washington: Clallam, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, San Juan, Skagit, Whatcom, King, Lewis, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston.

Central and south central Washington: Kittitas Valley, Simcoe Highlands, Yakima Valley, and the Lower and Upper Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest.

Other areas include parts of the Snohomish, White, and Cedar rivers.
