KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans by 24 runs in the 22nd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 at the National Bank Stadium.

Shan Masood top-scored with 35 runs, while Josh Philippe made 32 and Steve Smith contributed 31 runs. Sahibzada Farhan scored 17 before being dismissed by Iftikhar Ahmed.

Captain Ashton Turner added 20 runs, while Arafat Minhas managed 4.

For Zalmi, Sufiyan Muqeem was the standout bowler with three wickets, while Iftikhar Ahmed and Nahid Rana picked up two wickets each.

Earlier, after being put in to bat, Peshawar Zalmi posted 196 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Kusal Mendis starred with an impressive 68-run knock, which included six fours and three sixes.

He was supported by Mohammad Haris, who scored 38 off 17 balls, and Saim Ayub, who added 30 runs. Michael Bracewell chipped in with 14 runs.

For Multan Sultans, Peter Siddle and Mohammad Ismail claimed two wickets each, while Mohammad Wasim Jr and Mohammad Nawaz took one apiece.
