The actress, 35, and the 31-year-old actor have separated less than a year after they started dating. News of the breakup came after earlier rumours about their split began circulating, although neither has confirmed the exact reason. Sources say the two have decided to go their separate ways.

Taylor and Pierre were first linked earlier this year when they appeared together at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles in February. They later attended the BET Awards as a couple, where Taylor openly praised Pierre, describing him as kind and gentle and saying he made her feel safe and at peace.

In another interview, Taylor referred to Pierre as her “apple pie” and explained that if she ever chose to speak publicly about their relationship, it would be something they would do together.

On the career side, Taylor is currently nominated for Best R&B Album at the Grammys for her album Escape Room. She has also earned her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in One Battle After Another. Meanwhile, Pierre is preparing to appear in an upcoming Star Wars film alongside Ryan Gosling.
