The court imposed a substantial financial penalty of £350,000 (approximately Rs120 million).

LONDON: The High Court of Justice has dismissed an appeal filed by YouTuber Adil Raja, dealing a significant legal setback to the self-styled investigative commentator.

According to court proceedings, the Court of Appeal rejected Raja’s petition, upholding earlier findings against him.

The court reportedly described his allegations as malicious and without foundation, ruling that claims of victimhood and political persecution did not withstand judicial scrutiny.

During the hearing, the judge is said to have sought substantive evidence to support Raja’s claims. However, the court found his submissions insufficient and unsubstantiated.

The High Court’s earlier judgment reportedly characterized his claims as baseless, reinforcing the finding that his statements lacked verifiable evidence.

In addition to dismissing the appeal, the court imposed a substantial financial penalty of £350,000 (approximately Rs120 million).

The verdict has sparked debate online, with supporters and critics reacting strongly to the outcome.
