US vows to dismantle Iran’s missile capabilities as CENTCOM strikes missile sites, says Rubio.

U.S Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Iran would not be allowed to hide behind its ballistic missile program. He confirmed that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) is actively working to dismantle Iran’s missile capabilities and that military operations will continue until U.S. objectives are achieved. He warned that further “devastating strikes” against Iran could take place in the coming days.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has urged American citizens in the Middle East to immediately contact their nearest U.S. embassies or consulates amid escalating regional tensions.

Speaking at a key press conference, Rubio revealed that approximately 1,600 U.S. citizens have so far requested assistance to evacuate from the Middle East.

He disclosed that a drone recently fell inside the compound and parking area of a U.S. consulate, while American diplomatic facilities in the region are facing direct threats.

Rubio accused Iran of targeting U.S. embassies in the Middle East and issued a strong warning that the United States will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.

“The Iranian regime oppresses its own people. If it obtains nuclear capability, it will pose a serious threat not only to the region but beyond,” he said.

Rubio stated that two of the world’s most powerful air forces are participating in the ongoing operation. He said Donald Trump has made the decision to fully eliminate Iran’s threatening capabilities.

According to Rubio, the primary targets of U.S. operations include Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile program, and naval assets. He stressed that the timing of the strikes was carefully calculated, noting that delaying action would have made it more difficult to contain Iran in the future.

Despite challenges caused by regional airspace closures, Rubio affirmed that U.S. forces remain determined to accomplish their mission.

He added that the United States has nearly achieved its three major objectives against the Iranian government and does not intend to waste what he described as a critical opportunity for success.

Rubio further said that, President Trump is taking necessary measures to safeguard the American people, and that the joint operation is designed to achieve its goals effectively and decisively.
