Tim David’s monumental six after India opts to bowl first

The match began after India won the toss and opted to bowl first, setting the stage for an aggressive batting display from Tim David.

The landmark six came on the 5th ball of the six over, bowled by Axar Patel. The ball was delivered full and tossed outside off stump, tempting David to step forward and execute a lofted drive. Timing it perfectly, he sent the ball soaring straight down the ground with immense elevation and power. It struck the top of the roof over the ground’s short boundary, almost clearing the stadium entirely before falling back inside the ropes. The shot’s sheer distance, measured as 129 meters, was a testimony to David’s raw power and excellent technique against quality spin bowling.

David’s six not only thrilled spectators but also put Patel on the back foot during his opening spell. Bowling into the breeze and against a short boundary on one side, Patel was left struggling to contain David’s aggressive stroke play. The massive hit was a signal of Australia’s attacking intent, putting pressure on India’s bowling unit early on in the innings. In the Aussie innings, David’s fearless batting against spin and pace made a significant impact on the scoreboard, with the hosts racing to 103/4 in 12 overs.
