Weather update; Rain likely in upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Partly cloudy weather with light rain is expected in the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday and Tuesday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that continental air is covering most parts of the country, while a weak westerly wave may reach the far northern areas. Because of this, dry weather is likely in Peshawar and most districts of the province on Sunday night, though the upper areas may see some clouds.

On Monday and Tuesday, Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain dry, but the weather will feel cold in hilly regions during the morning and night. Light rain and partly cloudy conditions are expected in the upper districts, including Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, and upper Swat.

The temperature in Peshawar is expected to stay between 31°C and 33°C on Monday and Tuesday, and between 30°C and 32°C on Wednesday.

During the last 24 hours, Peshawar and most areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced dry weather. Dera Ismail Khan was the hottest place in the province with a temperature of 34°C, while Bannu recorded 32°C. In Peshawar, the highest temperature was 30°C, and the evening humidity level was 51 percent.
