Will rain intensify in Karachi today?

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with strong winds and thunder in Karachi today.

Rain was recorded in I.I. Chundrigar Road, Saddar, the Old City (M.A. Jinnah Road), Malir, Korangi, and other areas, while light showers also occurred in Defence, Shah Faisal Colony, and surrounding neighborhoods.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected from today until April 4 in Karachi, Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and Qambar Shahdadkot. There is also a possibility of rain in Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Matiari, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Hyderabad, and other locations.

A spokesperson for K-Electric stated that due to the rain forecast in the city and surrounding areas, electricity supply may be temporarily suspended in some areas as a precautionary measure.

According to the spokesperson, power supply is restored after the rain stops and clearance is received from field teams.

The minimum temperature in the city has been recorded at 23.5°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 27°C.
