Bodies of 3 children found in Lahore’s Shah Jamal area – BOL News

The bodies of three young children were discovered on Thursday in a plaza located in the Shah Jamal area of Lahore. They were killed by having their throats slit.

Rescue teams reached the spot after being informed, took custody of the bodies, and handed them over to the police.

According to police, the children were identified as five-year-old Momina Batool, four-year-old Momina Raza, and one-and-a-half-year-old Ume Habiba. Their father is Ramzan, who works as a motor mechanic, while their mother is Rida. The family lived on the second floor of a four-storey building.

Police said the parents had locked their flat and gone to the market. When they returned, they found the flat locked from inside and later discovered the bodies of their children. A sharp weapon was also found at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing, and forensic teams are collecting evidence from the site. Police also confirmed that the children’s uncle has been taken into custody for questioning.

The Inspector General of Punjab took notice of the incident and asked for a report from the CCPO Lahore, while ordering the immediate arrest of those responsible.

DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza visited the scene and reviewed the evidence. A special investigation team has also been formed under the supervision of the SP Investigation Model Town, and forensic experts have gathered material from the location.

He said all aspects of the case are being examined and the accused will be arrested soon and brought to justice.

The bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the incident and sought an immediate report. She directed police to arrest the suspect without delay and said those responsible would not escape punishment. She also extended condolences to the grieving family and prayed for patience for them.
