Egyptian Foreign Minister visits Pakistan, discusses defence and security cooperation

Egypt will facilitate visa processing for 250 Pakistani business entities.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty paid an official visit to Pakistan from 29 to 30 November 2025.

The visit took place on the invitation of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

According to the statement issued by the Foreign Office, Dr. Abdel Ati held a one-on-one meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and later led delegation-level talks.

Both sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral political, economic, trade, and defence relations. Discussions also covered cooperation in culture, education, and the health sector.

Egypt reaffirmed its support for Pakistan’s National Hepatitis C Elimination Programme. The two countries also agreed on concrete steps to enhance private-sector partnerships and expand trade ties.

In the first phase, Egypt will facilitate visa processing for 250 Pakistani business entities, which will be increased to 500 in the second phase.
