Huawei has introduced the MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition, a new laptop designed mainly for younger users with a lighter build, vibrant colors, and software features focused on its ecosystem.
The device combines a slim design, an OLED display with a high refresh rate, and Huawei’s own Kirin processor. It has a thin profile of 14.5mm and weighs around 1.33kg, making it easy to carry.
The laptop is available in Wild Green, Cherry Blossom Pink Gold, and Space Gray colors. The green and pink versions come with matching round keys for a more stylish look, while the gray version has a more traditional design.
Huawei has also improved the body with a new structure and nearly 5,000 small air vents at the bottom to enhance airflow. The keyboard provides 1.5mm key travel for comfortable typing.
On the front, the laptop features a 14.2-inch OLED screen with 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports full sRGB and P3 color ranges, can display over a billion colors, and includes a special coating to reduce glare.
The MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition runs on Huawei’s Kirin X90 processor and operates on HarmonyOS 6.1. It uses a 40W thermal design with dual fans and is aimed at everyday tasks and multitasking. The system also includes AI features like Celia Deep Research and note-taking tools.
The laptop is designed to work smoothly with other Huawei devices, offering a connected experience. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Huawei’s NearLink technology, along with a range of ports.
It comes with a 70Wh battery, with Huawei claiming up to 21 hours of local video playback and around 20 hours of streaming use.
The starting price of the laptop is $967 and goes up to $1261 depending on the configuration.
