Majority of Americans disapprove of Trump policies: survey

WASHINGTON: A recent survey conducted by NBC News indicates that a majority of Americans oppose the policies of United States President Donald Trump, reflecting growing public dissatisfaction.

According to the poll, 63% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s policies, while his overall approval rating has dropped to 37%, marking its lowest level in his second term.

The survey also shows that 74% of Americans under the age of 30 oppose any further US military action against Iran.

On broader issues, 66% of respondents criticized Trump’s handling of the Iran conflict and the economy, particularly inflation. Only 33% believe the country is moving in the right direction, while 66% say it is headed the wrong way.

Regarding inflation management, just 32% of Americans approve of Trump’s approach, while 68% express dissatisfaction.

Despite the overall decline, support among Republican voters remains relatively strong at 83%, though it has dropped by 4% compared to earlier this year. Overall approval among Americans has also fallen from 58% to 52%, according to the survey.
