Mercury expected to go up in Karachi

Expert said that temperatures may slightly increase in parts of Sindh and Balochistan in coming days.

Karachi is expected to face hot and dry weather next week, with temperatures likely to reach up to 39°C due to anti-cyclonic conditions over the Gulf of Oman, according to a weather expert.

The expert said that temperatures may slightly increase in parts of Sindh and Balochistan in the coming days.

He also added that there is a chance of rain in some areas of Sindh, including Karachi, during late April or early May.

According to an advisory from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi will continue to experience hot and dry weather, with maximum temperatures expected between 37°C and 39°C. The advisory also noted that low humidity is contributing to the rising temperatures.

Moreover, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast downpours, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, in upper parts of the country from April 16 to 19.
