Relentless cold spell grips city as fog severely curtails visibility

The cold spell is expected to continue until the end of January, according to PMD.

Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), cold and dry conditions are expected to prevail throughout the day.

Dense fog enveloping the city and restricting visibility to approximately 2.5 kilometers.

The ongoing cold spell is projected to persist until the end of January. Today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 12.5°C, while the maximum temperature is anticipated to fluctuate between 22°C and 25°C.

Relative humidity currently stands at 54 percent. No rainfall is expected in the city at present. Gentle northeasterly winds are blowing at a velocity of 4 kilometers per hour.
