Iran’s Araghchi meets COAS Asim Munir in Islamabad

Iran War began on February 28, when the United States and ‘Israel’ launched a large-scale attack on Iran.

Islamabad: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir in Islamabad.

During the meeting, National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Asim Malik and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were also present.

The Iranian delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi and spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.

In the meeting, important discussions were held on bilateral defense cooperation and the regional security situation.

Iranian state television reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is carrying Tehran’s formal response to proposals made by Pakistan’s army chief General Asim Munir during his visit to Islamabad.

 

According to the report, the response is “comprehensive” and takes into account all of Iran’s observations regarding the discussions held with the Pakistani side.

This was the Iranian Foreign Minister’s first significant working meeting with Pakistan’s military leadership during his visit to Pakistan, according to Iranian media.
